Recipe for a Hawaiian dessert – Cake Banana Coconut?
I went to the Luau in Hawaii not too long. I tried their cake Coconut Banana there and it was so good. I am trying to do at home. Anyone know any good recipes coconut cake the banana? The place I went to check the name Paradise Cove Luau (Ko Olina). I made a cake for some time back but it is nothing compared to what I ate at Paradise Cove .. HELP! I'm craving BANANA CAKE COCONUT!
Sounds so good, I hope that this is very close to what you SPECIAL Banana Coconut Cake 1 pecan coconut frosting, combine 1 c. rolled oats 1 / 3 cup butter 1 / 4 c. Tea. butter flavoring 1 / 4 tsp. aroma of coconut 4 eggs 2 lg. bananas, mashed 1 tsp dairy sour cream 1 / 4 c. Tea. flavor banana 1 supermoist yellow cake mix Combine frosting mix, oats, butter and butter flavorings and coconut in a heavy saucepan. Stir over fire moderate until the butter is melted and mixture is crumbly. Set aside. Beat eggs in large bowl. Beat in bananas, cream safe, flavoring and banana cake mix. After the addition of a cake mix beat about 4 minutes until light and fluffy. Pour half of batter into well greased 10-inch tube. Sprinkle 1 cup of crumbly mixture on mixing of dough. Continue with dough and crumbly mixture ending with the crumbly mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool upright in pan. Cool and remove plaque, the crumbly mixture on top. Freezes well. BANANA CAKE WITH COCONUT TOPPING 2 very ripe med. bananas, sliced 1 / 4 c. vegetable oil 1 egg 1 1 / 2 c. cake flour 2 c. soup. plus 1 / 2 tsp Tea. sugar, divided 1 c. Tea. each double acting baking powder, extract vanilla, and imitation butter flavor 1 / 2 tsp. 1 tsp tablespoons of baking soda. + 1 tsp Tea. shredded coconut 1 / 2 tsp. ground cinnamon Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray cake 8 inch round pan or 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking pan with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. In medium bowl, combine bananas, oil and egg, using electric mixer beat until smooth (mixture contain small pieces of bananas). Beat in flour, 1 tablespoon plus 1 1 / 2 teaspoon sugar, baking powder, vanilla, flavor of butter and baking soda and pour into the pan spray and set aside. In a small bowl, combine coconut, 2 teaspoons sugar Left and cinnamon and sprinkle over batter. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes (until a cake tester inserted in center comes out clean). Cool cake in pan 5 minutes, then remove from pan.
