It is time to take a day and drive Upcountry. What you get on Highway 37 and head straight for the mountain or take Rt Hon. 32 to the city, beach, Paia wind then Baldwin Avenue in Makawao, a city of old cowboy with fun Mexican food Polli, you Jacksons find when you arrive in Kula.

Jackson Chameleons May not be easy to see, but it is well worth the time to look for them. They develop on the top, misty green Haleakala Mountain trails and in gardens and just about anywhere there is a shrub or bush. Three horned lizards brilliant lime green, look downright prehistoric Jacksons complete with scales, eyes bulging, toes apart, and a tail whip. Fortunately they are small. Sometimes they are smaller than your little finger, sometimes as big as your thumb
