Hawaii Online College
wHAT DO I DO, i need advice….?
i’m 20yrs old. currently unemployed, moved to a new city, living with my dad, he bought a new house here. starting college this summer. i must’ve applied everywhere for a job, even effing mcdonalds, but no one hiring right now! i haven’t gotten any call backs, nothing, nada. i’m applying online at the cruise ship right now, they have alot of job openings. however, i doubt that my parents will let me job there (i think the job is gonna be in hawaii). i think they’d rather have me work at a fast food place, rather then leave them. they are super overprotective even tho i’m 20yrs old!
my question is, do i live with them, work in probably fast food, and go to college at the same time
or
do i pick the job, where i can work and travel at the same time, explore the world, ppl and life ?
how do i convince my parents that they HAVE TO learn how to let go…i can’t stay with them forever.
I’d start here:
1. You ARE over eighteen
2. This is YOUR life to live.
3. You may NEVER get a chance to see Hawaii like this (I was over 50 when I first visited Hawaii).
4. You love them and this is not permanent and you promise to keep in touch and this is a great work experience – MUCH better than effin Mickey-D’s
