Is dokdo korean or japanese?

i think its korean, its kinda like saying Is hawaii mexican or american? well i guess its not THAT obvious to the world but it is in terms of legal facts and records.I think its just like japan trying to take some korean territory for i dunno what. anyways, please share some information, i’d really like to learna bout this situation, and with japan’s argumetns with territorial disputes with china and russia as well.

I can probably get more information of it through research but here is what i know .. =) it is definitly korean because there is another island next to Dokdo where Korean actually have lived for a long time. It only takes 1hr 30 min ~ 2hr 30min from this island to get to Dokdo by ship. Dokdo is not exactly a place where a person can live, it is a rocky island and not enough drinkable water.. but Japan wants it so bad because it will enlarge their sea territory tramendasly. Japanese fisher abrubtly intrude the sea border near dokdo to fish in many occations. There is no obvious reason why Japan think its theirs other than their attempt to gain larger sea territory and stronger sea power. Korea have been occupied dokdo island from very long time ago, and I think Japan pretty recently began to claim that its theirs out of no where.. well it doesnt seem right to me when Japan claims some random island based on no logical reason.. it is just my opinion.. If i think of an anology, its like all of sudden Japan claims that Hawaii and Guam is theirs?.. Japan also uses diplomatic power and money to obscure ppl’s opinion on this issue.. which many ppl easily fall into. be careful of false propaganda and i hope my answer helped u to get this issue straight..have a nice day=) ps. sorri if i misspelled any words
